With the development of China's manufacturing industry,the application equipment is becoming more and more extensive.The market demands higher requirements in the cycle and quality of design.Straight side double crank press is widely used in the stamping of sheet metal.The design work is tedious due to the complex structure of the press.Moreover,it depends on experience heavily.In this paper,the CAD development and optimization analysis are studied.Case base and knowledge base are established on the summary of successful cases and generalization of design experience.In order to complete the design,the method of parameterized design is introduced.The calculation is completed by Excel and the 3D parametric design is completed by the CAD system developed from SolidWorks.Parameters are associated with the process of calculation and model establishment.The design cycles reduces drastically and the quality improves a lot with the help of the CAD system.Through simulation and analysis of the straight side double crank press with FEM,the stress cloud chart and strain cloud chart of key parts are obtained.It is significant to compare the results with the results of the empirical formula and analyse the statics characteristics of parts synthetically.The modal analysis of the parts is carried out to obtain the dynamic characteristics of the structure.Then analyse the stability of the slender parts and the critical load of buckling is obtained.After analysis of key parts,it shows that unreasonable use of materials and unreasonable layout of the structure exist in the design.Therefore,RSM based on the Kriging model is used to optimize welding parts and the method of topology optimization based on SIMP is used to optimize the blanking pattern of the plate.It provides references for the lightweight design of components of the press.At last,the research work is summarized and directions for future research are pointed out.
