Biological mineral materials have been attracted much attention by the researchers in different fields because of their special structures and unique properties,which also opens a new area for the development and preparation of new functional materials.This article focuses on the subject of barium sulfate,and based on the principle of biomineralization investigate the effects of many factors including such as the concentration of electrolyte,pH value,the change of the relative content,variation of the polyelectrolyte(polyacrylic acid)and small molecules(tartaric acid and dopamine)on the crystallization morphology control of barium sulfate.In addition,based on the above investigations,the carboxyl graphene(GO-COOH)was used to build the organic-inorganic layered composite materials.The polyacrylic acid(PAA)was selected as the regulation agent on the morphology of barium sulfate.Barium sulfate particles were prepared with different morphologies at room temperature by changing the experimental conditions,including the concentration of polyacrylic acid,the pH value of solution,the reaction concentration of Ba2+and the adding order of reactants.The results of scanning electron microscope(SEM)showed that the change of the concentration of PAA,the pH value of solution and the relative concentration of PAA and ion could affect the morphology of barium sulfate particles significantly.As the result,various morphologies such as flower flaky aggregation,roses-like,ellipsoidal and spherical morphology were acquired.With changing the adding order of the reactants,the morphology of barium sulfate under the control of PAA changed accordingly,and the morphologies of barium sulfate such as the shape of similar bone and urchins were acquired.The experiment studied the effect of organic small molecule tartaric acid(TA)and dopamine(DOPA)on crystal morphology of barium sulfate.In the tartaric acid system,barium sulfate particles were prepared through simple precipitation reaction.The morphologies of barium sulfate particles changed significantly by changing the experimental conditions,such as the concentration of tartaric acid,the pH value of solution,the relative concentration of ion and tartaric acid,and different morphologies of barium sulfate particles could be prepared,such as melon-seeds like,snowflake like and spherical like etc..In the dopamine system,we preliminary explored the effect of dopamine on the crystallization behavior of barium sulfate by mixing solution rapidly.The results showed that the barium sulfate had significantly different structure when the concentration of barium ion and sulfate ion were different in the solution.The electrolyte template was used to prepare the organic-inorganic composite material in this article.The experiments studied the carboxyl graphene(GO-COOH)as the template,and prepared a multilayer structure with similar shells biological biomimetic material successfully.The experimental results showed that under the condition of the reaction concentration of Ba2+(0.001mol/L),the crystallization of barium sulfate could be effectively controlled,and the size of the particles was stable at the nanoscale.At the same time,the particles had the same sizes and distributed uniformly in the layered composite materials.
