| If it is obvious that developing countries such as Mali need the industrial sector to boost their economic growth. At the same time,it is desirable and even necessary to put in place a legal mechanism that is both adequate and effective to effectively govern industrial activities and, above all,to prevent any environmental damage that may come from them.Indeed, industrial pollution is an environmental problem that causes enormous damage. This damage affects not only the good quality of the natural environment, but also promotes the growth of diseases that threaten the environment. That is why it is important,if not necessary,to promote the establishment of a legal architecture capable of curbing these environmental problems. Thus, the implementation of the principle of prevention which is both a fundamental principle of environmental law and an essential element in the fight against environmental pollution becomes a necessity.Just as the legal authorities of the People’s Republic of China have done in promoting the principle of prevention in the law on the protection of the environment, the Malian authorities can also use this experience by putting this principle in the law on the protection of the environment to fight efficiently against industrial pollution. |
