Research On Innovation Of Chinese Traditional Patchwork Art In Modern Fashion Design

In our country,the traditional patchwork art was originally due to the scarcity of materials and limited resources,in order to meet the needs of life,people stitched together the undamaged parts of old clothes and the rags left over from the use of cutting materials to make the best use of them,and at the same time obtain a new aesthetic form.This paper studies from the following three aspects the historical origin,form,characteristics of aesthetic art,the similarities and differences between Chinese and Western patchwork,and the embodiment of patchwork art in modern clothing.Explore the innovation of Chinese patchwork art in modern garment design.First of all,on the basis of the collection literature data collection,through the case,physical analysis and other methods to explore the historical origin of Chinese traditional patchwork is explored by means of graphic and textual proof and physical analysis,carding the existing forms and applications of traditional stitched fabrics in China.At the same time,with the clothing ornaments of the Central Plains dress Culture and Art Design Center of the Central Plains Institute of Technology and museums as evidence,combined with the method of field investigation,the unique aesthetic and artistic characteristics of Chinese traditional patchwork are summed up.Secondly,the paper summarizes and analyzes the western patchwork art and summarizes the similarities and differences between Chinese and western patchwork.Finally,through the research on the existing forms of Chinese traditional patchwork,the application style of modern apparel design is analyzed.According to the requirements of modern fashion design,using traditional patchwork elements for design practice,the paper summarizes the forms and methods of Chinese traditional patchwork art in modern fashion design.
