This paper focuses on the limitation of the practical use of the ZJ17 cigarette machine control system.The Ether CAT-based industrial Ethernet technology is used to upgrade the control system and verify the actual operation effect after the transformation.The design was modified with two Beckhoff Embedded Logic(IPC)controllers as the control core.One controller was responsible for process control and the other was responsible for quality control.Replace the traditional PLC module and board control system with Beckhoff Ethernet terminal module to form the overall framework of the control system.The main content of the paper is as follows:1.Outlining the development of PLC and industrial bus.Combining with the current development status of the control system of the cigarette machine and the defects of the current model control system,a reform plan based on Beckhoff Ether CAT industrial Ethernet was proposed.2.Analyzing the production process and control flow of the three major components of the ZJ17 cigarette making machine,including the strip machine,the molding machine,and build a hardware and software platform;3.Reforming and designing of the weight control and defect detection part,including hardware configuration selection and control program preparation;4.Collecting operational data after the transformation is complete to analyze the effect of the transformation.
