Crude oil storage tanks are the most common separation equipment for gathering and transportation stations.The oil and water were separated in the tank by means of physical precipitation.The separated water was discharged manually after manual operation,also known as artificial water cutting.The effect of artificial water-cutting depends on the operator's experience and senses.Because the ratio of oil and water in tanks fluctuates greatly,and the time for crude oil settling in tanks is easily affected by the nature of oil products and the mixed state of oil and water,it is difficult to guarantee for the labor.The accuracy and reliability of cutting water,especially the accidental operation of humans,often result in wastage of crude oil and a great threat to the safety of operators.Therefore,there is an urgent need for a system that can automatically cut water from crude oil storage tanks.As China's oilfields generally enter the stage of “poor oil and high water” production,traditional moisture detection sensors cannot measure moisture content from 0 to 100%.As an effective detection instrument for moisture content of high-water crude oil,the microwave sensor has high detection accuracy and is not affected by the "water-in-oil" or "water-in-oil" form,and is suitable for measurement under any moisture content conditions.Therefore,the microwave sensor had great advantages as a detection device for an automatic water cut system.This project has developed a microwave-based automatic water cut-off system for high-water crude oil settlement tanks,including primary and secondary microwave water content sensors,butterfly valves and piping.Because the degree of mineralization has a certain influence on the detection accuracy of microwave sensors,and the content of mineralization of different oils in different regions is different,so this subject chooses to extend a certain gathering station,and to establish a reasonable experiment by measuring the local salinity degree and content.The program studied the effect of salinity on the detection accuracy of microwave water content sensors.Using the curve fitting method,an error correction formula for the effect of single component salinity on system detection accuracy was obtained,and a method of BP neural network correction was used.The error of the influence of the two component mineralization degree on the system detection accuracy was corrected,and the water content detection error of the system was reduced from 9.91% to 1.49%(1.5 accuracy),which met the requirements for practical use.The system can realize automatic drainage,improve the efficiency and accuracy of oil and water separation of storage tanks,and is conducive to the construction and development of digital oil fields,with certain social and economic benefits.
