To meet the requirements of the pipeline transportation,emulsions of the crude oil generally have a good stability to provide assurance for the delivery of the emulsion.However,the good stability makes it difficult to break the emulsion when it reaches the end of the delivery.This article takes the O/W emulsion of the crude oil as the research object and uses conventional chemicaldemulsificationmethod,microwavedemulsificationmethodand microwave-chemical demulsification method to study the demulsification regularity and mechanism.In this experiment,an effective demulsification solution was selected by using the water separation rate,water separation speed,and the quality of the extracted water as indicators.In the chemical demulsification experiments,the effects of pH,demulsifiers and flocculants on the demulsification were studied and the suitable method was selected.In microwave demulsification experiments,the influence of microwave parameters on the emulsion demulsification and its mechanism of action were studied by adjusting the frequency of microwave radiation and the time of microwave irradiation.In the experiment of microwave-chemical demulsification,the mechanism of synergistic demulsification was studied by integrating the microwave method and the chemical method.Finally,to further increase the dehydration rate,a conventional quaternary system consisting of pH,demulsifiers,flocculants,and magnetic nanoparticles was studied by using the conventional demulsification and microwave-chemical demulsification.The mechanism of the magnetic nanoparticle on the emulsion under the microwave irradiation was further explained through the thermodynamic model of the emulsion.The experimental results show that the microwave-chemical demulsification has many advantages comparing to the chemical emulsion method,such as a higher water separation rate,a lesser dosage of chemicals,and a cleaner water color.In addition,the quaternary system consisting of magnetic nanoparticles,HCl,demulsifier RKP-15 and flocculant polymerized aluminum chloride has a good demulsification effect.In the experiments which don’t contain the magnetic nanoparticles,the best demulsification method is:70℃,pH=7,CRKP-15=0.015%,CPAC=0.09%.Under this condition,the emulsion basically achieved the oil-water separation in30 minutes,and the dehydration rate was 96.77%.In the experiments which contain the magnetic nanoparticles,the best demulsification method is:70℃,pH=7,CRKP-15=0.015%,CPAC=0.09%,CFe3O4=0.005%.Under this condition,the emulsion basically achieved the oil-water separation in 10 minutes,and the dehydration rate was 99.56%.The dehydration rate meets the demand of the export of heavy oil.
