With the progress of drilling technology,people began to exploit the higher more difficult drilling technology development.Under the high density drilling fluid,how to control the solid content to become one of the most important influence factors,and control of solid content,that is to say,control the weighting materials.In this paper,a more comprehensive analysis of the control problem in high-density drilling fluid materials,Firstly,grade barite powder experimentation,analysis of different levels of granularity under drilling fluid experiments to identify the most appropriate level of granularity,Followlly,by the three commonly used weighting material,barite powder iron ore powder manganese oxide powder in different proportions at different levels of drilling fluids to identify each grade suitable drilling fluid weighting materials by conventional performance testing and analysis of each density level problems and their causes.Finally,modification experiments barite powder,by conventional literature research reagents to identify two chemical modification method,the modified activating index,the contact angle,infrared spectroscopy,sedimentation and other experiments to identify the most suitable method for each chemical reagent ratio,modified barite powder to prove its effectiveness before and after modification by drilling experiments.Finally,through the experiment,the 300-250 mesh: 180 mesh particle size of the barite level on the rheology sedimentation and filtration performance works best.Under the density of 2.2 g/cm3,barite powder: iron ore powder: manganese ore powder in 2:1:1 is best.The density of 2.4 g/cm3,iron ore powder: barite powder: manganese ore powder in 3:2:1 every performance is best.In addition to 2.4g/cm3,between barite grading and conventional barite,the performance is not very difficult.The effect of sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid modified barite best proportion in 0.8%(barite powder)the best effect,sodium tripolyphosphate,sodium silicate 2% and 0.1%(barite powder)the best effect,and dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid sodium modification method is better than that of sodium tripolyphosphate modification method.
