In this paper,the properties of oil sand from Fengcheng,Sinkiang region were evaluated,including proximate analysis,Fischer assay,Dean-Stark methylbenzene extraction,ultimate analysis,et al.As shown in results,heat value of oil sand is very high.Main ash constitution of gravel is Si O2.Pyrolysis oil with low kinematic viscosity,flash point mechanical admixture and freezing point owns occupations of gasoline,diesel and heavy oil are 12.5%,46.5% and about 41% respectively.As a result,pyrolysis oil of Sinkiang oil sand has excellent quality.Properties of bitumen for Sinkiang oil sand were also evaluated,including high density,large viscosity,etc.The major retorting gases are CH4,H2 and C2H6 respectively.Fundamental data obtained above can serve as significant parameters for dry distillation.Hot alkaline water and organic solvent extractions were performed for oil recovery.It is indicated that elution rate of hot alkaline water is very low.However,when applying organic solvent with 120# solvent oil,at 75?,3:1 solvent-sand ratio and 40 min oil yield can reach up to 93.62%,which presents high productive value for industrialization.The pyrolysis experiments on Sinkiang Fengcheng oil sand were performed at different heating rates of 5,10,15,20 and 25?/min using differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and thermogravimetric analyzer(TGA).The kinetic parameters(apparent activation energy E and frequency factor A)were determined using Friedman and limited parallel pyrolysis reaction models respectively.It is found that the activation energy increases with the increasing conversion.The results using Friedman method indicates that the plot of ln A vs.E for Sinkiang Fengcheng oil sand becomes a linear line,which is E=25.42889+4.90725 ln A(R=0.9975).The relative calculating error of limited parallel reaction model is 0.0856.It is shown that calculated results with parallel pyrolysis reaction model well corresponds to experimental outcomes.More than 50% reactions according to parallel reaction model were carried out corresponding to the activation energy of 165~200k J.mol-1.For pyrolysis study of Sinkiang Fengcheng oil sand,both Friedman and limited parallel pyrolysis reaction models can interpret its complex pyrolysis procedure effectively.
