Subsea pipeline transportation is one of the main methods of oil transportation.Because ocean system is affected by complicated environment, potential risks exist in the design, construction, operation and maintenance phase. Therefore, the safety performance evaluation to the subsea pipeline is of great importance to forecast the accident potential threat, take effective measures to avoid security incidents, ensure the safety of the subsea pipeline operation. The safety performance on corrosion of pipeline has been studied abroad since the 1960 s,but our country started late.Because of the effect by design specification, standard and notional conditions,we could not copy foreign risk assessment model. To establish evaluation index system of pipeline and relevant software development are both very important. This article through research the design parameters, material quality, operation condition and corrosion factors of two subsea pipelines, then sort out basic research data, analyze the material and mechanical performance of steel tubes, obtain corrosion macro and micro morphology. The corrosion products were characterized by variety of testing methods.According to the site condition for dynamic corrosion simulation experiments,we calculated the corrosion rate and residual strength and used the finite element analysis method to predict subsea pipeline residual life.Research work of this paper is important to establish pipeline operation safety assessment on the oil field. It helps to form a set of oil and gas pipeline operation safety evaluation, maintenance and management system with feasible technology and reasonable economy. It will improve the safety of pipeline for oil field and the efficiency of production, reduce the accident rate.
