Ceramic inkjet printing technology which has become a hot spots of national research and application for its intelligent,high-definition pattern,can be personalized designed and manufacturing advantages,is the future direction of the ceramic surface decoration technology.Since the nozzle diameter of the ceramic inkjet printer is only tens of microns which is pluged easily,it is required to use supporting stable ceramic ink,in which the particle size distribution of ceramic powders is narrow,and average particle size is less than 0.5?m,maximum particle size is less than 1?m.At the same time,ceramic pigment hair color need stability.In this study were used sol-gel method and other wet chemical methods to prepare the white ceramic nano ink-jet,explore the relationship between composition,preparation,structure and properties of ceramic white pigment,and research white coloration mechanism.Nano ZrO2 white powder material was prepared by sol gel method via using ZrOCl2·8H2O and MgCl2 as raw materials.The study factors of orthogonal experiment method is pH,bath temperature,the percent of dispersants PEG2000,and the indexes is ZrO2 grain size by Scherrer formula.The results indicates that the order of the effect on ZrO2 particle size was as follows:pH value>amount of PEG2000>bath temperature.The optimal sample was obtained while the pH value was 9,the amount of PEG 2000 was 5wt%and the bath temperature was 60?.Average size of 10 nm was detected via TEM and Hunter whiteness of 96.6 was measured via colorimetric test with the optimal ZrO2 sample.With the increasing of treatment temperature,ZrO2 showed a crystal trasistion from cubic type to monoclinic type.Small particle size,good uniformity with high whiteness indicating it is very suitable as colorant for use of wihte ceramic ink used for ink-jet printing.To save costs,the white composite powder containing two of zinc oxide and zirconium oxide and hydroxyapatite was prepared.The results showed that:Hunter whiteness of B series of and zirconia composite is 76.77 in BP1,81.52 in BS1.The best is C1 in the C series of zinc oxide and zirconia,of which the hunter whiteness is93.56,the grain size is 10.9nm.The best is D1 in the D series of zinc oxide and hydroxyapatite,of which the hunter whiteness is 85.38.Decorative effect of sol composite samples is better than the powder composite samples,whose were hunter whiteness is higher than the powder composite samples.SEM shows ZrSiO4 produced by the reaction of SiO2 and ZrO2,and ZrSiO4microcrystallite in glaze results in opacitied,scattering the light.The presence of hydroxyapatite results in microcrystallite,sub-phase and uniform small bubbles's interaction results in opacitied,scattering the light.The L*of hydroxyapatite powders is 99.18,a*is 0.38,b*is 0.29,after the hunter whiteness of incorporation of the glaze is 93.37,opaque glaze effect better,which show that it hydroxyapatite can replace zirconia used as a white material.Research shows that:the performance and stability of ink is best when using PVP K30 as dispersing agent,ethanol as solvent,30%of solids content,whose rheology is better and viscosity is 9.12mPa·s.Particle size distribution analysis indicates that,the maximum particle size of the ceramic powder in ink is less than1?m,the average particle size is less than 0.5?m,in line with the requirements of ceramic ink-jet printing.
