As one kind of one-dimensional nanomaterials with nanowire morphology and micro-skeleton structure,carbon nanotubes(CNTs)have attracted extensive attention and research of scholars at home and abroad because of its excellent mechanical,electrical,and thermal properties.However,with the development of science and technology and the deepening of research,it has been found thatcarbon nanotubes can easily be agglomerated under natural state because of their own small size,large aspect ratio and specific surface area,and the van der Waals force and electrostatic interaction between carbon nanotubes.Therefore,it brings a technical problem that the single carbon nanotube cannot exhibit the excellent performance in actual production and application.Therefore,the carbon nanotubes agglomeration problem is still a technical bottleneck to restrict its wide application and exert its excellent performance.The research and application of carbon nanotubes dispersion and its technology is still an urgent demand for the industrial application of carbon nanomaterials.In view of the above problems,based on the arc method of dispersed carbon nanotubes(CNTs)proposed by the innovative research group,the method of the arc excitation to disperse carbon nanotubes is further studied,the method can directly disperse the carbon nanotubes in the air environment and can maintain the integrity of the carbon nanotubes,which has a wider application range than the carbon nanotubes dispersed by the existing dispersion technology.In this paper,the factors affecting the dispersion of carbon nanotubes by electric arc method are comprehensively analyzed and experimentally studied.The main types of experiments are studied,such as the type of the working medium,the mixing ratio of the carbon nanotubes with the working medium,and the density of carbon nanotubes mixed electrodes,the influencefactors of the metal electrode type and their discharge distance with the carbon nanotubes hybrid electrode and the carbon nanotubes dispersion trapping method,etc.,and the optimum conditions for the dispersion of carbon nanotubes under the excitation of the arc were obtained.Based on the above experimental studies on the influencing factors of carbon nanotubes dispersion by arc method,this article according to the technical process requirements and selects the optimal technical conditions for the basis of research and development,innovatively applies arc dispersing carbon nanotubes technology to the design and development of industrialized dispersed carbon nanotubes key equipment.It includes the design of a mixing device for carbon nanotubes and a working medium,the development of an arc discharge device,and the preliminary design of array screen trap device.The structure and function of the device are correspondingly developed and designed in accordance with the requirements of the obtained technical conditions,and the selection of the important parts and key parts of each device is performed.And the Star-ccm+ numerical simulation software was used to simulate and analyze different structures of the more critical devices to guide the selection and optimization of their structures. |
