Experiment is playing an important role in the teaching of science and engineering colleges. Development level of the laboratory is an important scale to measure a college teaching and scientific research level. But, the problems is that the quantity restrictions on experiment equipment and the shortage of experiment funds can't meet the increasing demand of the number of students, and the contradiction is more and more fierce. The development of virtual experiment platform in this paper can alleviate this contradiction and also have a great application value in solving the problem of experimental teaching. The main contents of this paper can be divided into the following two parts; ?. The development of virtual experiment platform; ?. The Collapse Process Simulation of Special-shaped Column Frame Structures. Then combine the two parts, and applying frame structure collapse simulation into the virtual experiment platform.In this paper, the specific work and some conclusions are listed as follows:1.Developing a virtual experiment platform, and give the development train of thought and system framework of the platform. At the same time by using ANSYS to simulate the cube compressive strength test of concrete to find the suitable unit and material model, then the concrete cube test module based on Lab VIEW is designed.2.Using finite element software LS-DYNA to establish the typical special-shaped column frame structure, then three seismic wave has chosen, according to the selecting principle, to input to the structure for analysis. To study the effect of different factors such as different seismic intensity, different layer and different layers of higher on the process of structure collapse. The calculation results indicate that the influence of different factors on the structure collapse is different, but the common characteristics of structure collapse is the damage of the bottom two layers cause to collapse.3.Choosing reasonable equivalence, the section of equivalent special-shaped columns with rectangular column section, then establish two kinds of space frame model of different section form, finally use LS-DYNA to analysis. From structural interlayer displacement angle, structural lateral displacement, base shear force, collapse time, etc, compared to two kinds of structure anti-seismic property and anti-collapse property. The calculation results indicate that two kinds of structure both have a certain ability to resist collapse, but the rectangular column frame structure is better than that of the special-shaped column frame structure.4.Establishing frame structure collapse system by combine collapse analysis results with virtual experiment platform. Make the virtual experiment platform more perfect and has the diversity.
