Facility layout has always been the key issues in corporate planning, how to design a good layout, should not only consider the layout to make the lowest logistics costs, but also satisfy the business enterprise various constraint conditions, domestic and foreign scholars did a lot of research in the production layout, and obtained a lot of research results.At present, each process buffer size without planning; because of the early planning of the workshop production capacity is small, now the key process equipment capacity is insufficient, need to use other equipment to complete the production task, the logistics path with many twists and turns. By using the simulation, determine the regional workshop WIP set, and then use genetic algorithm, calculate the minimum amount of handling logistics layout design.In this paper, the research process is: based on the actual situation of S company, analyzes the integrated relationship between various regions; On the area between the divisions of the different process, the simulation software preset in a higher capacity, then run for a period of time, statistics between each process actually in products produced by the maximum quantity and need the maximum amount of the bottleneck process of key equipment, and according to the actual situation, adjust key equipment quantity and slow stock, use simulation to verify the new number of WIP and key equipment set has no effect on output. Because in products covers an area of more, WIP will take the area with an area of together; Finally using genetic algorithm, and comprehensive relationship will replace the heritage through put in the algorithm, each area as a genetic algorithm to the initial conditions, by using the genetic algorithm is global search to find the optimal capacity, solving the layout problem.In this paper, the fitness function as evaluation index, and according to the actual position constraint adjustment area, for quick solution is of great significance to the production area layout problem.
