Maintainability is an important characteristic of complex equipment,poor maintainability design not only increases the maintenance cost,but also reduces the utilization.With the trend of more complexity and technology in equipment,current simulation and analysis tools are difficult to meet the requirements of maintainability concurrent design owing to low efficiency of simulation and evaluation.To solve the problems above and satisfy the concurrent design requirements of complex equipment,methods and technologies for maintenance simulation and human factors automatic evaluation in VR are researched.The main research works of this thesis are summarized as follows: Firstly a maintenance motion simulation method is presented based on a detailed analysis of virtual human(VH)control methods in maintenance simulation.The basic idea of the proposed method is make full use of the advantages of virtual reality(VR)maintenance simulation modes.By using of H-Anim human skeleton structure,a VH real-time driving model is established according to the standard Chinese adult dimensions;Secondly to improve the accuracy and efficiency of human factors(HFs)evaluation for entire maintenance simulation processes,a systematic solution has been proposed.The automatic HFs assessment methods concerning visibility,accessibility and synthesized evaluation are presented and realized;Thirdly an advanced simulation platform is developed after integrating research achievements.An application in generating VH motions and HFs evaluation for repairing is implemented.In addition,the reasonableness of maintenance space could also been evaluated by space utilization ratio.By applying orthogonal experiments to quantity maintenance related HFs and design factors,a method for comprehensive servicing time evaluation are introduced,and a fitting function are presented and validated by collected data.The results show that the presented approach can support accurate evaluation in the early stage of complex equipment design.
