Vehicle steering-by-wire system removes the mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the wheels,and uses the steering motor and the road feeling motor to turn the wheels and simulate road feeling.Before entering the market,the system needs to make a number of test and improvement,because it is a new generation of steering system.For providing the necessary hardware and experimental basis for later design of vehicle steering-by-wire system,vehicle steering-by-wire hardware-in-the-loop test bench is developed.Through the analysis of steering-by-wire system,the variable ratio control strategy based on the constant lateral acceleration,road feeling simulation control strategy,resistance simulation control strategy and redundancy control strategy have been designed,and their simulation analysis has been completed.According to the test contents and design requirements,vehicle steering-by-wire hardware-in-the-loop test bench has been divided into four modules—the steering execution module,road feeling simulation module,steering resistance simulation module and the steering-by-wire controller,and the selection of hardware in the test bench has been completed.At the same time,in view of the hardware features,the corresponding software program has been designed,and the control strategy of steering-by-wire system can been designed by the Matlab/Simulink software,so as to combine the hardware and software of the test bench.Steering resistance simulation module that can work independently has been designed,it not only can provide resistance simulation for vehicle steering-by-wire hardware-in-the-loop test bench,but also can provide other specimens with permanent load.The designed control strategy has been tested by the test bench.according to different control strategy,different hardware of test bench have been selected,such as the steering execution module,road feeling simulation module,steering resistance simulation module and redundancy control strategy,and the test data has been gathered and processed.Experimental results show that,vehicle steering-by-wire hardware-in-the-loop test bench can complete the required test content and the design requirements;at the same time,The designed control strategy can complete basically the movement,such as steering,road feeling simulation,resistance simulation and redundancy control.
