In order to explore the cultivation techniques of the new wheat varieties,Xi nun 585 and WAN Mai 21,the influence of sowing time on different sowing dates was studied by orthogonal design in Wolong farm of Nanyang,Nanyang, with western farmers 585 and WAN Mai 21 as materials. The main results of this experiment are as follows:(1)The main factors affecting the number of rooting roots of Sn 585 and WAN Mai were sowing dates, followed by seeding quantity. The number of sowing dates was 21.The number of secondary roots of wheat decreases with the delay of sowing date.(2)Sowing time could significantly affect the plant height of wheat, and the plant height of wheat decreased with the delay of sowing date.(3)Sowing time significantly affected the dry matter content of wheat, and the dry matter of wheat decreased with the delay of sowing date.(4)Sowing time had a significant effect on the yield of Xi nun 585 and WAN Mai 21,and showed that the yield decreased with the delay of sowing date. The different sowing quantity had different effects on the yield of different varieties of wheat.Sowing time and seeding quantitycan affect the number of spike per mu,and the sowing date is postponed and the number of spike per mu will be reduced.Sowing time and sowing quantity had no significant effect on grain number per spike and 1000 grain weight.(5)In Nanyang area, the suitable sowing time is about October 16 th,the suitable sowing date is about October 16 th,the suitable sowing quantity is 12.5kg/ mu,and the suitable seeding period of Wan Mai 21 is about October 16 th,and the suitable sowing quantityis 12.5kg/ mu.
