Objective To analyze the changing characteristics of medical far infraredthermography of patients in Neurosurgery Department and assess its value. Methods391patients were admitted to Neurosurgery Department in PLA General Hospital. Weexposed the inspection sites as well as applied AT1R-M301B uncooled focal planeinfrared camera on the detected regions, then took far-infrared thermography ofdifferent areas. Focus on the analysis of infrared images features of ischemiccerebrovascular disease, tethered cord syndrome, Chiari malformation type I withsyringomyelia.1. A retrospective analysis of103cases of patients as the observationgroup, who were diagnosed ischemic cerebrovascular disease in Neurosurgery of thePLA General Hospital from January2008to March2013.39cases of normal healthyindividuals were selected as the control group.we applied ATIR-M301B uncooledmedical infrared camera to collect craniofacial infrared images, analyzed temperaturedifference among different detection zones, and compared the results; we also comparedtheir digital subtraction angiography results with the thermography and analyzed theirconsistency; we analyzed infrared image characteristics before and after percutaneousendovascular stent angioplasty.2.31patients with TCS were diagnosed in our hospital. We exposed the inspection sites as well as applied ATIR-M301B uncooled focal planeinfrared camera on the detected region, then took far-infrared thermography of differentareas. The temperature difference between the two sides of the examinees werecompared and the results were analyzed statistically.3.39patients diagnosed CMIassociated with SM were chosen as the observation group during December2011toDecember2012in Neurosurgery, PLA General Hospital.39persons who are healthywere selected as the control group in the same period. ATIR-M301B uncooled FPAmedical infrared camera was applied to take infrared image of patients at different parts, compared with the temperature between symmetrical regions. We use13.0SPSSsoftware to quantitatively analyze datas. Results1. Compared with the control group, the far infrared thermal images in patients with internal carotid artery system diseaselossed the normal craniofacial symmetry and there was statistical significance inbilaterally symmetrical parts, P<0.05. The craniofacial temperature differences reducedpostoperative than preoperative, P<0.05. The overall diagnostic accuracy of thermograpy in diagnosing stenotic or occlusive disease was83%compared with the DSA.2. Thedetection parts far-infrared thermography of patients with TCS presented left-rightasymmetry distribution, mainly in ischemic change. Muscle atrophy of the lowerextremities showed low temperature, the lumbosacral region with thick fat depositionshowed low temperature change, the foot ulcer showed high temperature change and theoperation scar showed high temperature change. Results of infrared thermographyinspection were basically coincidence with the patients complaint.3.The far infraredthermography characteristic between the two groups were significantly different. Theobservation group lost the right and left symmetry features and the temperature wassignificantly different (P<0.05). Patients with neck pain showed local hightemperature;the weakness and cold limbs were low temperature; atrophy musclesoccured at low temperature; typical thermography showed watershed pattern at the highand low temperature junction; syringomyelia segment and the low temperature regionwere positive correlation. Conclusion The far infrared thermography could providenoninvasive objective evaluation indicators of functional imaging, diseases is supplied, and it is an important supplement to CT, MRI and ultrasound imaging technology, which could only reflect the morphology changes of anatomic tissue....
