Chinese herbal medicine is a powerful weapon of Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of various diseases. After thousands of years of practice and development, it can not only inhibit and kill viruses, but also enhance body immunity. With nonspecific antiviral function, Chinese herbal medicine has made remarkable achievements in the prevention and treatment of avian influenza. Honeysuckle comes with various medical functions, including dispelling wind and heat from the body, clearing heat and toxic materials,and protecting the body from viruses and inflammation. These functions have been confirmed in preventing and controlling SARS. As a compound “ministerial drug” or “monarch drug”made of kinds of poultry drugs, it is a commonly used herb and a kind of medicinal and edible plant. In recent years, honeysuckle has been extensively planted in China, which has led to overcapacity and recession. Therefore, analyzing the chemical composition of honeysuckle is conducive to the effective use of resources. In this paper, honeysuckle was taken as the experimental material, and three different extraction methods were adopted to extract total flavonoids, total polyphenols and procyanidine. Then the extracting parameters of the microwave-assisted extraction and the ultrasonic-assisted extraction were optimized, and the evaluation was made on the antioxidant activity of the extraction of honeysuckle obtained through the microwave-assisted extraction and the ultrasonic-assisted extraction methods.Besides, traditional heat reflux extraction was also adopted to extract honeysuckle, and comprehensive evaluation was made on the antioxidant activity of the crude extracts of different parts of honeysuckle. The results are as below.The optimal extraction technology of using response surface method to optimize the total flavonoids, total polyphenols and procyanidine obtained through ultrasonic-assisted extraction method is: 70% ethanol solution, particle size 100-120 mesh, soak time 2 min, ultrasonic power 250 W, solid-to-liquid ratio 1:38 and extraction time 49 min.The optimal extraction technology of using response surface method to optimize the crude extracts obtained through ultrasonic-assisted extraction method is: 70% ethanol solution,particle size 100-120 mesh, soak time 2 min, ultrasonic power 200 W, solid-to-liquid ratio1:38 and extraction time 48 min.The optimal extraction technology of using response surface method to optimize the total flavonoids, total polyphenols and procyanidine obtained through microwave-assisted extraction method is: 70% ethanol solution, particle size 100-120 mesh, soak time 2 min,microwave power 733.84 W, solid-to-liquid ratio 1:36.46, extraction temperature 70? and extraction time 5 min.The optimal extraction technology of using response surface method to optimize the crude extracts obtained through microwave-assisted extraction method is: 70% ethanol solution, particle size 100-120 mesh, soak time 2 min, microwave power 600 W,solid-to-liquid ratio 1:37, extraction temperature 70? and extraction time 5 min.The crude extracts of different parts of honeysuckle have strong antioxidant activity,including normal butanol crude extract > ethyl acetate crude extract > petroleum ether crude extract > water crude extract.
