Lymphoma is a kind of malignant tumor that occurs in the lymph nodes and extranodal lymphoid tissues, and it is one of the top ten common malignant tumor, which has one of the fastest growth rate of incidence, with an annual growth rate of 5%, and its death rate is 1.5 out of 100000, ranks between 11 and 13 in the cancer death ranking. It is divided into two categories, which are Hodgkin’s lymphoma(HL) and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma(NHL) respectively. About 40% of the NHL occurs in the extranodal anatomic sites, which include gastrointestinal tract(GIT), skin, connectivetissue, lung, and among these sites, lymphomas mostly happened in GIT. The stomach is the most common occurrence site of primary gastrointestinal lymphoma(PGIL), accounting for 60-75%, and the second site with high rate of the occurrence is the small intestine, which accounting for about 30%, then the large intestine holds the occurrence rate of 10% in total, however the primary esophageal lymphoma happens rarely.Currently, although PGIL attracted some attentions on clinical, the materials of the relative researches are limited. It is necessary to analyze the clinical and pathological features of PGIL since its complexity of clinical manifestation, lack of specificity, complexity of pathological type and high rate of misdiagnosis.Object In this study, we hope to further clarify the types, histology and the clinical pathological features of PGIL in different parts through the collection of clinical pathology datum of patients who were diagnosed as having PGIL, so that datum can be accumulated for diagnosis and prognosis of PGIL.Methods 1. Collecting the clinical and pathological datum of patients who were diagnosed as having PGIL, according to the WHO classification of tumors of hematopoietic and lymphoid tissues(2008) in The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from October 2009 to October 2014. 2. Counting the PGIL patients’ genders, ages, locations, pathological types, clinical stages(Ann Arbor), Ki-67 indexes, B symptoms, survival times, and then analyze these collections comparatively. Results 1. In this study, 333 patients were diagnosed as having PGIL.The ratio of male to female was 1.36∶1 and they were 1∶1.02, 2.19∶1, 1.90∶1 in stomach, small intestine and colorectal and the difference had statistical significance(χ2 = 8.529, P < 0.05).Among the stomach and small intestine, female had a higher incidence in the stomach(χ2= 8.529, P < 0.0167). The ratios of male to female of diffuse large B cell lymphoma(DLBCL) were 1∶1.46, 1.83∶1 and 1.3∶1and the difference had statistical significance(χ2 =6.249, P < 0.05). Wherein among the stomach and small intestine, female also had a higher incidence in the stomach(χ2 = 5.632, P < 0.0167). 2. Histologically, the incidences of DLBCL in stomach, small intestine and colorectal were 47.25%(86/182), 40.96%(34/83) and 37.70%(23/61) and among them the difference had no statistical significance(χ2 = 2.072, P > 0.05). The incidences of mucosa associated lymphoid tissue marginal zone lymphoma(MALToma) in stomach, small intestine and colorectal were 32.97%(60/182), 12.05%(10/83) and 16.39%(10/61) and the difference had statistical significance(χ2= 10.16, P < 0.05), MALToma had a high incidence in stomach. The incidences of extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma(ENKTL) in small intestine and colorectal were 10.84%(9/83) and 16.39%(10/61) and the difference had statistical significance(χ2 = 8.308, P < 0.05), ENKTL more occurred in colorectal.Concludes 1. Stomach lymphoma more occurred in female. Female had a higher incidence of DLBCL in stomach similarly. 2. MALToma had a higher incidence in stomach. ENKTL had a higher incidence in colorectal.
