Objective:Among all areas of radiation work, the interventional radiology surgery have a great exposure. During surgery, the staff directly exposed in the radiation, although there are some protection, however, the radiation dose received is still large. The intraocular lens is one of the more sensitive organ to radiation, and the eye protection is the weak link. In this study, we estimate and analysis the eye lens’ doses in a surgical intervention. This study has an important significance on strengthen interventional radiology staff’s protection awareness, provide basic data for radiation protection work and provide a scientific basis for eye lens dose threshold discussion. Methods:We choose the common interventional operations(Cerebral angiography,Coronary angiography,TACE,angiography of the Lower extremity),Before the surgery, put the prepared thermoluminescence dosimeter near the left edge of the surgeon’s surgical cap,and then we measure the dose. Results:The eye lens dose is different in different types operation, the highest is coronary stent implantation, the dose of the first performer is 40.38±42.40μGy,and the second one is 63.73±61.72μGy;In one operation, the second performer’s eye lens dose is always higher than the first one;In the same kind of operation, there is a positive linear correlation between eye lens dose and the exposure time, the correlation coefficient r=0.469, P<0.01. Conclusion:The performer’ eye lens receive a dose of radiation in surgical intervention, but there is a low rate of wearing lead glasses,so we should pay more attention to eye protection, strengthen protection management, minimize the radiation exposure. |
