Clinical Study On The Treatment Of Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis For Hyperactivity Of Heart-Liver Fire With Clear Fire Detoxification Xiaoying Decoction

Objective: This study was designed to observe the clinical effect of Clear Fire Detoxification Xiaoying Decoction on the treatment of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis for the type of hyperactivity of heart-liver fire, and explore the mechanism of action.Methods: 90 patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis for the type of hyperactivity of heart-liver fire meeting the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups, 45 patients in the test group and another 45 patients in the control group. Patients in test group were given Clear Fire Detoxification Xiaoying Decoction, and patients in control group were given Selfheal Oral Solution, both group were in a course of treatment of 12 weeks. Observe index of the two groups before and after treatment, such as TCM syndrome score, thyroid hormone levels in blood, thyroid autoantibodies, and thickness of thyroid isthmus, and then statistically analyze the related data to evaluate the clinical efficacy of Clear Fire Detoxification Xiaoying Decoction.Results: The clinical efficacy rate of the test group was 84.44%, and that of the control group was 53.33%. Compared the clinical efficacy of the two groups, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01). It had statistically significance to make comparison of TCM symptom scores of each group before and after treatment and comparison of TCM symptom scores between the two groups after treatment(P<0.01). The test group was superior to the control group in improving anterior gall swelling, irritability, dry mouth, bitter taste, heat intolerance, sweating, lassitude, less soundly sleep and dreaminess(P<0.01). Comparing FT3, FT4 and TSH values in two groups, HT hyperthyroidism groups had statistical significance before and after treatment(P<0.01), comparison between the two groups after treatment had no statistical significance(P>0.05). Compared TPOAb and TGAb levels of the two groups after treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01). Compared the thickness of thyroid isthmus of HT patients with hyperthyroidism in two groups, difference before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05); There was no significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion: The Clear Fire Detoxification Xiaoying Decoction can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis for the type of hyperactivity of heart-liver fire, reduce thyroid autoantibodies, adjust function of thyroid and alleviate goiter with no significant adverse reactions, it is a safe and effective treatment method.
