Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of scalp-nape acupuncture combined with auricular acupuncture treatment of pseudobulbar palsy after stroke, and to provide an objective basis for clinical application.Methods:1.60 patients were randomly divided into two groups and equally. One group (30 cases) was treated with the scalp and nape acupuncture, while control group (30 cases) was given the traditional scalp and neck acupuncture. Both groups were treated with scalp and nape acupuncture twice a day. The twisting speed was approximately 180 times/min. The needle was retained for 25 min after the twisting for 1 min. Auricular acupuncture was performed on treatment group once a day. The needle was twisted every 12 minutes after inserted, and retained for 25 minutes. Each time one side of auricular acupoint was punctured. There was one day break after 6 days treatment for both groups, then another round of treatment will begin. Assessment should be performed after 2 rounds of treatment.2.As the indicator of clinical efficacy, capability of swallowing and speech were observed and assessed before and after treatment in each group.3.SPSS 22.0 software was used to analyze study statistics. Ordinal rank data was analyzed by Ridit. Measurement data is validated by x2.Results:1.The patients’swallowing capability of each group is improved (p<0.05), and the treatment efficacy of the treatment group is better than that of the control group (p<0.05).2.The patients’speech capability of each group is improved (p<0.05), and the treatment efficacy of the treatment group is better than that of the control group (p<0.05).3.The two groups are compared before and after treatment, and the difference among groups is statistically significant.Conclusion:1.Scalp-nape acupuncture combined with auricular acupuncture is effective in the treatment of pseudobulbar palsy after stroke. The capability of swallowing and speech of patients can be significantly improved.2.Scalp-nape acupuncture combined with auricular acupuncture is superior to the conventional therapy with traditional scalp-nape acupuncture.
