Mania is the mental disorders of an abnormally elevated arousal energy level, or "a state of heightened overall activation with enhanced affective expression together with lability of affect." In the traditional Chinese medicine, there is no manic symptoms of disease, But according to its symptoms can be attributed to the "manic psychosis" category.The paper discusses theetiologicalf actors and pathogenesis, therapeutic principles,methods and study progress of Mania of Yangming fu-viscera excess from two aspects of Modern Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and through the clinical observation to summarize the efficacy of Dachengqi Decoction cure Mania of Yangming fu-viscera excess. And provides a safe and effective treatment for the future of traditional Chinese medicine in Dachengqi Decoction of mania. At the same time, it also offers the theoretical foundation for the future study of treatment in mania.Objective:Summarize the efficacy of Dachengqi Decoction cure Mania of Yangming fu-viscera excess through the clinical observation. Reveal the clinical significance and advantages of Dachengqi Decoction cure Mania of Yangming fu-viscera excess, For the further research of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of mania to seek a new way.Method:This research sets 60 cases with the diagnostic criteria of Yangming fu-viscera were randomly divided into treatment group(30 cases) and controlling group(30cases). The 30 cases in Treatment group are given the Dachengqi Decoction while the 30 cases in controlling group are give peroral treatment of lithium carbonate hydrotherapy for14 days. Two groups were observed after treatment in patients with mental symptoms and give the BRMS score, comparing the difference between the two groups so as to summarize the curative effect before and after the treatment.Results:1). Comparison of therapeutic efficacy: The total effective rate of Treatment group is86.67% and the total effective rate of controlling group is 63.33%. and the difference was statistically significant.(P<0.05)2). Comparison of BRMS after treatment: Compare the scores of treatment group and cotrolling group after treatment and the difference was statistically significant.(P<0.05)Conclusion:The treatment of Dachengqi Decoction is better than that of lithium carbonate. The efficacy of Dachengqi Decoction to Mania is positive and worth further clinical research.
