Whitening is the eternal pursuit of Asian women, and more and more western women also hope to dispel facial spots by whitening products. Phenylethyl Resorcinol (PR) is one of the most potent lightening agents ever reported. However, the application problems of Phenylethyl Resorcinol lie in its light instability and hot instability and poor water solubility,also easy to combination with metal ions,then the color turn pink from white.Which not only seriously affect the appearance of the products, but also makes the active deactivated during the in the storage life.In addition, due to poor water solubility,the bio-availability is very low, and there are some skin irritation. In order to make the Phenylethyl Resorcino have a better application in cosmetic, How to develop the stability,develop the bio-availability,and low the skin irritation,which is the problem urgently needs to be solved.In this paper, Phenethyl Resorcinol nano capsule (lecithin capsule and lipid nano capsule) was prepared by hot high pressure homogeneous, the carriers system combined the advantages of micro-emulsion and liposomes,which can be used in trans-dermal drug delivery system. The mean particle size, PDI,Zeta potential,encapsulation efficiency, physical stability and long time storage chemical stability,MorphoIogy observation, fourier transform infrared spectrum, the in vitro drug release and in vitro penetration, cytotoxicity and B16F10 cell whiting were examined.After been capsuled in nano capsule,The Phenethyl Resorcinol can be stored for 3months and longer under 25℃;In vitro drug release study,the significantly prolong release and controlled release can be seen, the continuous release time is 24 hours, the biggest release quantity can reach 90.3%;The vitro penetration study showed that the nano capsule can make Phenethyl Resorcinol more easy through the stratum corneum and absorbed by the skin; The MTT cell toxicity experiment showed that the capsule of nano capsule has good biological compatibility; And the cell Whitening experiments, confirmed that solved by nano carriers, Phenethyl Resorcinol were more likely to enter cells and play a whitening effect better.What’s more,we also researched the influence of phytosterol on the stability of lecithin nano capsule,thought the membrane micro-polarity, membrane fluidity, oxidation stability, the mean particle size, PDI,Zeta potential,encapsulation efficiency, physical stability and long time storage chemical stability,Morphology observation, fourier transform infrared spectrum, the in vitro drug release and in vitro penetration.Conformed that the add of cholesterol(10% of phospholipids), can develop the stability of this system.By comparing the influence of different micro/nano carriers on stability, the in vitro drug release, in vitro penetration, cytotoxicity and B16F10 cell whiting experiments,we researched the influence of capsule technology on efficacy.lt turns out that the nano capsule, no matter lecithin nano capsule or lipid nano vesicles, is a very good carrier for Phenethyl Resorcinol,which have great application prospect.
