| Objective: Teaching quality evaluation of clinical teaching bases is an important part of the quality assurance system of higher medical colleges. For a long time, evaluation clinical teaching base is mainly focused on construction of teaching conditions while lack of teaching management, teaching quality and students training quality evaluation by local medical universities. Carried out by literature review, the present situation research, questionnaire survey, expert interviews and other means, this study, relied on Fujian Medical University(FMU),set up a set of scientific and reasonable evaluation index system of teaching quality in clinical teaching hospitals. This system will guides the clinical teaching hospitals to standardize clinical teaching affairs, and provides decision-making reference to strengthen the construction of medical universities teaching quality guarantee system.Methods: Through studying a large number of literature and relevant policy documents and referring to the practical operation of FMU, this study collected 56 evaluation indicators as options. It applied Delphi expert consultation method,screening evaluation indexes for teaching quality of a clinical teaching hospital,application of Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) to determine the index weight. It elected one affiliated hospital and two non-affiliated hospitals as empirical studying subjects to evaluate their teaching quality.Results:(1) Establish 53 comprehensive evaluation index of teaching quality in a clinical teaching base, which include teaching guiding ideology, teaching management, teaching conditions, implementation of teaching and students’ development. It basically covers various abilities of doctors both internal and surgical subjects, which has great representativeness and maneuverability.(2) Weight coefficient of each index were set according to the latitude layer, indexlayer and target layer and determine each proportion of the evalutaion system.(3)The empirical study showed that both affiliated hospitals and non-affiliated hospitals are qualified in teaching conditions whereas affiliated hospitals are more qualified in teaching working position, teaching management, teaching operation and students developments.Conclusion: Evaluation teaching quality in a clinical teaching base is a complex job, while it has great applied prospect. Not only scientific evaluation system should be built but also reasonable evaluation team should be set up for specific work so as to fulfill the evaluation job. What’s more, the application of modern information technology is necessary. The results of evaluation teaching quality in a clinical teaching hospital not only reflect the hospital’s teaching ability but also reflect hospitals and medical universities’ teaching quality assurance level,which has both meaning in this aspect. |
