| Objective: To investigate the effect of percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP) and percutaneous kyphoplasty(PKP) for the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures(OVCF) clinical curative effect. Methods: A retrospective study of 60 patients was conducted on osteoporotic vertebral body compression fractures treated with vertebroplasty between January 2014 to March 2015 in orthopedic of The First Hospital Putian City, 30 cases were treated by PVP(PVP Group), 30 cases treated with PKP group, postoperative 1, 12 weeks and 1 year by pain visual simulation score(VAS), Basel(BI) scoring method for postoperative pain relief degree and the daily life of the function to improve the situation assessment; through the image data to observe and compare the changes of the responsibility of vertebral front height, after the convex angle(Cobb angle). Results: the two groups had no wound infection, deep vein thrombosis and other complications. All patients were followed up for more than 1 years. Compared preoperative, the VAS and BI scores of two groups(PVP group and PKP group) were significantly decreased(P<0.01), pain was relieved, the daily life function improved significantly. No statistical significance after 1 and 12 weeks and 1 year periods VAS, BI score difference(P>0.05), there was no significant difference between the PVP group and PKP group(P>0.05). Compared preoperative, postoperative 1, 12 weeks and 1 year, the vertebral height, Cobb angle changes in PVP group differences no statistical significance(P > 0.05); in PKP group, the difference has statistical significance(P < 0.01), the postoperative 1, 12 weeks and 1 year difference no statistical significance(P > 0.05).The height and Cobb angle changes of the responsibility vertebral between the PVP Group and PKP group in the postoperative stage, the difference has statistical significance(P < 0.01).Conclusions: AS for the patients of OVCF,no matter treated through PVP or PKP, the pain of patients can obviously relieved, and activities of daily living(ADL) can complete or partial recovery. Under the same conditions excluding economic factors, contrast PVP, PKP in the responsibility to restore vertebral height and correct the posterior convex deformity has a clear advantage. |
