Objective As radiological diagnosis technology, micro neurosurgery technology and the continuous development of C LP physiological monitoring, spinal cord glioma surgery resection rate is greatly increased, but because of its pathology classification belongs to glioma, required subsequent surgical treatment, postoperative recurrence on patients with great pain. In order to delay the tumor recurrence time, improve patient quality of life, and postoperative chemotherapy will undoubtedly become a subsequent treatment after the surgery, consider spinal radiation can cause spinal cord atrophy, local tissue edema, appear even paraplegia, such as risk, we combined with intracranial glioma chemotherapy in clinical experience on spinal cord glioma patients with postoperative chemotherapy.Methods Choose 31 patients who received microsurgical resection of spinal cord gliomfromfrom October 2010 to March 2011. All patients' tumor tissue have received conventional histopathological detection diagnosis of idiopathic spinal cord gliomas and grade it according to the WHO standards.Diagnosis of astrocytoma(? level) and ependymoma(? level). Laboratory examination before chemotherapy: leucocyte? 4.0×109/L, platelet? 100×109/L, hemoglobin? 100g/L, Liver and kidney function haven't suffered serious damage. Not to radiotherapy and chemotherapy after the sugery. Patients aged 18~48, among them, 12 cases of astrocytoma(? level), 19 cases of Ependymoma(?). Divided into two groups.Results In experimental group, 10 of 13 patients without tumor recurrence 2 years later, 3 cases of tumor increased,effective rate of chemotherapy:76.9%,Symptoms aggravated in 1 case after 2 years,two years survival rate is 100%(13/13). Adverse reaction of patients during chemotherapy is slight?Six patients with the control group 18 cases without tumor recurrence, 12 cases of tumor size increased,effective rate is 33.3%.By comparing the curative effect of experimental group and control group, use chisquare test, The results have significant differences, P=0.006<0.01.Conclusion Chemotherapy under the guidance of MGMT immunohistochemical detection and MGMT gene promoter methylation detection after surgery, can effectively delay recurrence of the tumor, avoid reoperation, and has good safety and tolerability,This chemotherapy regimens has good propects.
