Objective:By means of medical nutrition therapy(MNT), we can improve the glucolipid metabolism and body weight in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes(T2DM) from community, exploring the new-style MNT mode that low GI coarse grains food packages replace part of the staple food, eventually providing a scientific and practical basis for our country patients with T2 DM from community.Method:According to whether to accept the clinical medicine, 65 cases of eligible T2 DM patients were stratified randomization to two levels, each being divided into two groups by random number table method. Finally we merged into the control group 33 cases and the intervention group 32 cases. Both of the two groups were offered regular meals of MNT mode.On that basis, the intervention group was given the new-style MNT mode that low GI coarse grains food packages replaced part of staple food. The intervention group dose:(1) sea-buckthorn oats paste(GI=44.6) replaced part of the breakfast: 28g/d;(2) san qing noodles(GI=42.5) replaced part of the lunch: 50g/day;(3) buckwheat thick pulp beverage(GI=50.2) replaced part of the dinner: 200ml/day. The wholly experimental period lasted 90 days. The observation indexes of FPG was detected in the1 th, 30 th, 60 th, 90 th day. The observation indexes of 2h PG, TG, TC, LDL-C, HDL-C and Hb A1 c were detected in the 1th, 90 th day.To analyze and compare the test results, and process the data.Results:1. The outcome of self control in two groups1.1 By regular meals of MNT mode, the control group patients’ observational indexes of FPG, 2h PG, Hb A1 c, TG, TC, LDL-C were significantly lower(P<0.05); HDL-C significantly was higher(P<0.05); the change of body weight were not obvious(P>0.05).1.2 By the new-style MNT mode, the intervention group patients’ observational indexes of body weight, FPG, 2h PG, Hb A1 c, TG, TC, LDL-C were significantly lower(P<0.05);HDL-C significantly was higher(P<0.05).2. The outcome of comparison of two groupsCompared with the control group patients after intervention,the intervention group patients’ observational indexes of FPG and 2h PG were lower(P<0.05); body weight,LDL-C, Hb A1 c had decreasing trends and HDL-C had a rising trend(P>0.05).3. The outcome of metabolic FPG in two groupsFPG of the intervention group patients began to decline in the 30 th day and FPG of the control group patients began to decline in 60 th day(P<0.05).4. The outcome of feedback after eating food packagesLow GI coarse grains food package had advantages over quantification of proportion, standardization of production technology and processing technology of fine,which lead to Low GI coarse grains food packages tasting good and convenient. There were no bad reaction after eating them.Good compliance in patients was observed.Conclusions:By means of the new-style MNT mode that low GI coarse grains food packages replaced part of the staple food, we improved the glucolipid metabolism in elderly patients with T2 DM from community.Compared with regular meals MNT mode, the new-style MNT mode improved blood sugar and weight more quickly and effectively.Low GI coarse grains food packages tasting good and convenient.There were no bad reaction after eating them.Good compliance in patients was observed. The new-style MNT mode that low GI coarse grains food packages replaced part of the staple food should be implemented in elderly patients with T2 DM from community.
