Purpose This study combined theoretical and empirical research methods, which aims to explore the relationship between usage of electronic health records system and performance of GP,and build the mutual influence model. This study conducted a questionnaire survey in Wu Han general practitioners to verify the correctness and practicability of the model by way of empirical research. Methods First, by studying a lot of literature about use of electronic health records system at community health service institutions in China and abroad,to identify situation of general practitioners using electronic health records system and individual dimensions of general practitioner’s performance evaluation, and build the theoretical model of relationship between electronic health records system use and general practitioner’s performance.Second, use empirical methods to survey and field interviews to Wuhan Area 29 GP community health service institutions to investigate, and according to the findings of to verify and improve the theoretical model. Results Put forward and validated electronic health records system function and perceived ease of use on the impact of the use of electronic health records system, the standardized path coefficient were 0.247 and 0.349; proposes and validates the use of personal electronic health records system factors, factors of influencing factors and performance, system function and perception easy to use standard system and satisfaction path between numerical is respectively 0.122 and 0.429, respectively significantly in the 0.01 and 0.001 levels, the numerical standard between use and service quality and the number of paths are 0.331 and 0.427, significant at the 0.001 level, the numerical standard between the number of lines satisfaction with the service quality and the path is respectively 0.251 and 0.131, respectively, significantly in the 0.001 and 0.01 levels; This reserach also constructs GP performance preformance evaluation system, which was proved to be effective through the analysis of reliability and validity and exploratory factor analysis. Conclusion Electronic health records system function and ease of use of system use have significant effect on the use of electronic health records system and satisfaction of the system, the use of the system have significant effect on the use of the general practitioner performance of service quality and service quantity dimensions. Use satisfaction, quality of service and service quantity as the evaluation index of general practitioner has good effect. To improve the performance of general practitioners can optimize electronic health records system improvement in function and easy to use to achieve, satisfaction and usage on the number of the service quality and raise have direct effect, various ways that caused the satisfaction promotion and use of improved will is beneficial to the improvement of service quality and quantity.
