| Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of modified Ho LEP for treatment of benign prostate hyperplasia(BPH).Methods From Sep. 2012 to Mar. 2013, during these six months, 112 BPH patients were divided into the experiment group(57 cases) and the control group(55 cases) according to surgical ways. For treatment of these patients in the experiment group,we first cut a logo tunnel with holmium laser at 6 o’clock direction, the most appropriate length of the tunnel is a little bit shorter than the full distance from verumontanum to bladder neck, and then two lateral marks in the bladder neck and verumontanum were marked. During the perioperation, the operation time, intraoperative amount of bleeding, hemoglobin changes after the operation of Ho LEP, amount of washing fluid during operation, incidence of urinary incontinence and cases of blood transfusion were recorded. Results After operation, during 12 months following-up,significant differences in the time of operation, amount of washing fluid during operation and cases of transfusion were found between these two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion Modified Ho LEP technique is effective and safe for treatment of BPH, it can save the operation time of Ho LEP, amount of washing fluid, reduce the amount of bleeding and may be it could conducive to sexual function preservation. |
