Objectives: To compare the index of heart rate variability(HRV) in the subjects with different type of early repolarization wave(ERW)and evaluate the relationship between different type of ERW and HRV index.Methods:Three different types of ERW were diagnosed based on Holter. Fifty subjects in each type of ERW were selected as the study group and fifty normal subjects without ERW were selected as control group.Type I is associated with an early repolarization pattern predominantly in the lateral precordial leads(n=50);Type Ⅱ,the early repolarization pattern displays predominantly in the inferior leads(n=50);Type Ⅲ,the early repolarization pattern displays globally in the inferior、lateral and right precordial leads(n=50)based on Antzelevitch classification;Control group contains 50 healthy individualse without ERW.Twenty-four hours electrocardiogram was performed in all objects,and the heart rate、HRV、PR interval、QTc 、age、gender were analyzed. All data were analyzed by SPSS 21.0.Descriptive statistics was presented as the mean±standard deviation(SD)for continuous variables.Categorical variables were compared by the chi-square test.Comparison between four groups were performed by means of one-way analysis of variance and multiple comparisons using LSD methods.A 2-tailed P <0.05 was considered significant.Results:(1)Four groups’ gender 、 age 、 heart rate and PR interval haven,t significant differences(p>0.05);(2)Four groups’ QTc haven,t significant differences(p >0.05)by ANOVA.But the C type higher than D type compared by LSD methods,the differences were significant(p<0.05);(3)HRV in types Ⅲ shows obvious increment when compared with control group while HRV in type Ⅰ shows no difference from the control group.Conclusion: HRV in ERW globally in the inferior、lateral and right precordial leads have obvious increment,and ERW in the inferior leads have lower than type 3.HRV in ERW in the lateral precordial leads shows no difference from the control group.The individuals with ERW of type Ⅲ presents an abnormal HRV value which may predict arrhythmias more frequent than type Ⅱ and type Ⅰ.
