| ObjectiveThe purpose of this study was to reconstruct the 3D visual model of sagittal split ramus osteotomy based on the image registration of CBCT and MRI with the characteristics of hard tissue.MethodsThe data of MRI and CBCT come from a healthy female volunteer were imported into the Mimics software, and draw the structures of teeth, mandible, glenoid fossa, articular discs. The Titanium plate and Titanium screw 3D models were completed in Abaqus CAE software.Import the models into Meshlab and Geomagic Studio software and optimized,to improve the models’ quality, and matched the MRI and CBCT imaging based on the characteristic points of hard tissue.Structed the articular cartilage, periodontal ligament. The simulation of sagittal split ramus osteotomy of mandible was performed with osteotomy line and mandibular advancement, and the Boolean operation was performed to obtain the visual model of sagittal split ramus osteotomy.Result1.Based on the hard tissue image characteristics registration, the MRI image of the temporomandibular joint disc and CBCT imaging were accurately registered, and the deviation was small.2 The three-dimensional visual model of sagittal split ramus osteotomy of mandible was constructed successfully.Conclusion1.The image of MRI and CBCT were well registered, based on the hard tissue characteristics, and the disc of temporomandibular joint were located in the anatomical position in the fossa well.2.The 3D visual model of mandibular sagittal split ramus osteotomy, which concluding the temporomandibular joints, can simulate the surgical osteotomy, mandibular advancement and the position of Titanium plate. It was significance for clinical application. |
