Objective:1.To explore the correlation of the color parameters of cervical part of the anterior upper teeth of young and middle-aged people in Chinese Han population of GuiYang region in terms of the tooth position、gender and age factors.2.To research the matching rate of the color parameters of cervical part of the anterior upper teeth between the Vitapan 3-D master shade and anterior upper teeth of young and middle-aged people in Chinese Han population of GuiYang regionMethods:360 volunteers of Guiyang distric that in young and middle-aged were included,divided into three groups(aged:20~29、aged 30~39、aged 40~49),each groups with 120 person,gender ratio was 1:1,using the Vita Easyshade Advance 4.0 wireless computer spectrophotometer to measure the cervical part of upper right central incisorsl ateral incisors、and canine of every observers,recorded the value of the L*、a*、b*、C*、and h*,and data were analyzed by SPSS 19.0 software.Result:1.the color parameters range of cervical part of the anterior upper teeth were:L*:70.6~99,a*:-1.7~9,b*:14.4~50,C*:14.4~50.2,h*:78~97.1,2.Significant differences were found in respect to the value of L*、a*、b*、C*、and h*of the cervical part of different tooth position(P<0.01),Pairwise comparison showed that,the value of L*was highest in cervical part of upper central incisors,lowest in cervical part of upper canine;and value of L*was highest in cervical part of upper canine,lowest in cervical part of upper central incisors,value of b*of cervical part of upper lateral incisors and canine all higher than that in central incisors,there was no significant difference between the value of b of lateral incisors and canine(p>0.05).;and the value of C*of cervical part of upper lateral incisors and canine all higher than that in central incisors,No significant difference showed in value of C*in upper lateral incisors and canine(P>0.05),as for the value of h*of cervical part,upper central incisors was the highest and canine was the lowest,3.In case of genders there was no significant difference showed in value of L*and h*of(P>0.05),and the value of a*、b*、C*of cervical part of teeth in male was obviously higher than female(P<0.01),4.significant difference were found in value of L*、a*、b*、C*、h*of cervical part of teeth of different age groups(P<0.01).Pairwise comparison showed that value of a*、b*、C*was highest in group aged from 40-49,on the country,value of L*and h*was the lowest in this group,what’s more,there was no significant difference of value L*and a*in group aged 20-29 and 30-39.5.When compared with the Vita 3D Master toothguide,it showed significant difference of average value of L*、a*、b*、C*、h*of cervical part of upper anterior teeth(P<0.01)Conclusion:1.Different teeth position affect the color of cervical part of the anterior upper teeth differently,also with different gender and age.2.Vitapan 3D-master shade can not cover the range of cervical part of the anterior upper teeth of young and middle-aged people in Chinese Han population of GuiYang region.
