| Objective 1. To investigate the baseline data of the quality of life and psychological status of chemotherapy patients with advanced lung cancer; 2. To evaluate the effects of continuous nursing on quality of life, psychological status and unplanned re-treatment rate of chemotherapy patients with advanced lung cancer. Methods A total of 72 patients with advanced lung cancer who were scheduled for chemotherapy from October 2015 to April 2016 were randomly divided into experimental group (36 cases) and control group (36 cases) according to the random grouping method. Both groups were given the same care during hospitalization. The patients in the control group were treated with routine discharge nursing care, and the treatment group was treated with continuous nursing. The intervention time was implemented starting from discharge after 1 cycle of chemetherapy to 3 wecks after 4 eyeles of chemotherapy. The marking mechanism were performed before the first chemotherapy, the discharge day after 1 cycle of chemotherapy, adopting Chinese version of lung cancer patients’quality of life scale score(QLQ-LC43), symptom self-assessment scale score (SCL-90) as well as unplanned recidivism rates. All the data were recorded into the computer, the database was established and analyzed with SPSS22.0 statistical software to compare the differences between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in the quality of life scale scores and the symptom self-assessment scale scores of the patients in the experimental group and the control group before and after the first chemotherapy (P> 0.05). There were significant differences in emotional function, overall quality of life, fatigue, insomnia, depression, interpersonal sensitivity score and unplanned re-treatment rate between the experimental group and the control group after 4 cycles of chemotherapy (all P<0.05).Conclusions 1. Adopting continuous nursing intervention can improve the overall quality of life of chemotherapy patients with advanced lung cancer. Among of them, emotional function is significantly enhanced, global quality of life, fatigue and insomnia is significantly improved; 2. Adopting continuous nursing intervention can improve psychological status of chemotherapy patients with advanced lung cancer. Among of them, depression and interpersonal sensitivity were significantly improved.3. Continuous nursing intervention could reduce the unplanned re-treatment rate of chemotherapy patients with advanced lung cancer, thus reducing the medical burden of patients. |
