The Experimental Research Of Waterlaser Associated Accelerating Orthodontic Tooth Movement On Rat

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of a new surgical technique in accelerate orthodontic tooth movement.Methods: 63 castrated male Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups: 21 rats served as waterlaser associated orthodontic toothmovent at maxillary the first molar,and after surgery was served conventional orthodontic appliance to move the teeth.21 rats served as corticotomy surgery at maxillary first molar,and after surgery was served conventional orthodontic appliance to move the teeth.21 rats served as appliance group,were just took the conventional orthodontic appliance at the maxillary.Rats were killed and draw the material at different points of time.The distance of maxillary first molar was measureed and compared,and immunohistochemical SP method was used to observe thee xpression of bone morphogenetic protein of 3 groups.SYBR Green real-time fluore scent quantitative PCR technology was used to analyze the experimental sample to observe the changes of bone remodeling during tooth movement.Results:(1)During the experiment,the first molar moved distance in TO group is 0.757 mm,in CO group is 1.027 mm and in Waterlase group is1.227mm(P<0.001);(2)The density of maxillary didn’t change much during the experiment(P>0.05),only changes obviously in TO group in day 7(P<0.001);(3)The expression of BMP is higher than any other group in day 5;(4)The early expression of OCN and Cath K shows the mechanism of accelerate of tooth movement.Conclusion: The water laser associated orthodontic tooth movement and corticotomy could induce partial restoration phenomenon(RAP).During the movement of orthodontic teeth,waterlaser associated orthodontic toothmovent could increase the expression level of OCN,cathepsin K and BMP.It was suggested that the water laser associated orthodontic toothmovent can accelerate bone remodeling,shorten treatment time without side effects.
