| Objective:This dissertation attempts to evaluate clinical effect of therapy of Tuina combined with Taijiquan which treats the diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) by randomized controlled trial. According to analysis of TCSS that of before and after the treatment, the thesis tries to evaluate the therapeutic effect of different methods in the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).Method:128 outpatients or inpatients suffering from DPN of the affiliated hospital of Chengdu University of TCM, the Fourth People’s Hospital of Sichuan Province, and the third affiliated hospital of Chengdu University of TCM are regards as objects of the study. All the objects are randomly divided into 4 teams, namely, group of western medicine, Tuina, Taijiquan, and Tuina combined with Taijiquan. The Tuina manipulation and Twenty-four Style Taijiquan are the main method of the treatment. Based on the original therapeutic regimen that emphasizes strict control of blood sugar, the patients of 4 teams are respectively treated with oral mecobalamin, Tuina, Taijiquan and Tuina combined with Taijiquan. The period of intervention treatment lasts 2 months. The TCSS scale scores of the patients of 4 groups are recorded respectively, then 1 month later, there begins follow-up visits which aim at changes of the TCSS scale scores.Difference of changes of scores of the 4 groups that of before and after treatment are analyzed by scores of TCSS scale that of before and after treatment, including symptoms, reflection and sensory.Results:1. TCSS scale scores of patients of the 4 groups are dramaticly declined.2. After 1 month, difference of scores of the 4 groups (P>0.05).3. After 2 months, scores of symptoms and sensory tests and total scores of the group of the Tuina combined with Taijiquan is much higher than that of the western medicine group(P<0.05). Scores of symptoms of the Tuina group is much higher than that of the Taijiquan group(P<0.05), as for scores of others, the latter is slightly higher than the former(P>0.05). Scores of symptoms of the Tuina group is much higher than that of the western medicine group (P<0.05), and the result of comparison between the rest scores is P>0.05. Scores of symptoms of the Taijiquan group is much higher than that of the western medicine group (P<0.05). Except the total score of the group of the Tuina combined with Taijiquan, the result of comparisons among those of the other 3 groups is P>0.05.4. Comparisons of the scores calculated from the follow-up visits among the 4 groups demonstrate that the result of contrast between scores of symptoms of the Tuina group and the western medicine group is P>0.05.As for other groups, the difference is the same with that of before(at the end of the treatment).Conclusion:1. The therapy of Tuina combined with Taijiquan does great favor to the the diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), and it is able to effectively lower the TCSS scale score level, moreover it is also safe and stable.2. General efficacy of the 3 groups of oral western medicine, Tuina, and Taijiquan is same overall, however, scores improvement of symptoms of the group of the Tuina combined with Taijiquan and the Tuina group are higher than those of the Taijiquan group and western medicine group, that is to say, the therapy of Tuina has several advantages to clinical treatment for DPN. What’s more, scores improvement of sensory tests of the the group of the Tuina combined with Taijiquan and the Taijiquan group are higher than that of the western medicine group, in a word, it indicates that Taijiquan has an edge on improving the patients’sensory.3. The therapy of the Tuina combined with Taijiquan is able to keep the TCSS scale scores at a low level, and the therapeutic effect of later period is stable. |
