Clinical Observation Of Shuganfupihuashi Decoction In Treating Diarrhea-predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome(Liver Stagnation And Spleen Deficiency Type)

Objective:To discuss the clinical curative effects of Shuganfupihuashi Decoction in the treatment of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency type diarrhea type irritable bowel syndrome in clinical symptoms,severity of disease and quality of life,anxiety and depression.Methods:62 IBS-D patients that meet the diagnostic criteria were divided into the treatment group for 31 cases and the control group for 31 cases with randomly.Before the study,we compared patients’ gender,age,course of the disease,IBS-Symptom Severity Scale,TCM symptom total scores,IBS-Quality of Life,Self-Rating Depression Scale and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale,there was no statistically significant(P>0.05),which showed that it could be compared between two groups.The control group was given Pinaverium Bromide Tablets while the treatment group was given Shuganfupihuashi Decoction.Both groups were to be the basis of treatment,with treatment for one month,observerd IBS-Symptom Severity Scale,TCM symptom total scores,IBS-Qualityof Life,Self-Rating Depression Scale and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale in pre-therapy,post-treatment.Further analysis the diffences between pre-therapy and post-treatment.Finally,disscuse the clinical curative effects of Shuganfupihuashi Decoction in the treatment of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency type diarrhea type irritable bowel syndrome in clinical symptoms,severity of disease and quality of life,anxiety and depression.Results:TCM syndrome total scores:the total effective rate of treatment group(87.1%)was better than the control group(64.5%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the total score of TCM symptoms in the two groups before and after treatment,there was significant difference.As well as,the difference of scores in the treatment group was better than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The results showed that both Shuganfupihuashi Decoction and Pinaverium Bromide Tablets had an improved effect on TCM syndrome scores in the treatment of liver stagnation and spleen deficiency type diarrhea type irritable bowel syndrome,but the Shuganfupihuashi Decoction’s effect is more obvious.IBS-SSS scores:The score of the treatment group was 194.61± 78.78 in pre-therapy,78.87±41.19 in post-treatment,and the control group was 190.13 ± 84.57 in pre-therapy,117.26 ± 62.68 in post-treatment.There is statistical differences of IBS-SSS scores before and after treatment in both two groups(p<0.05),suggesting that the two groups can decrease the IBS-SSS total score;There is statistical difference of IBS-SSS scores comparison between the two groups(p<0.05),suggesting that the Shuganfupihuashi Decoction better than the Pinaverium Bromide Tablets.IBS-QOL scores:The score of the treatment group was 124.68± 23.80 in pre-therapy,99.81±22.79 in post-treatment,and the control group was 125.29 ±24.27 in pre-therapy,119.68 ± 22.89 in post-treatment.There is statistical differences of IBS-QOL scores before and after treatment in both reatment group and control group(p<0.05),suggesting that the two groups can improve the quality of life in patients with irritable bowel syndrome;There is statistical difference of IBS-SSS scores comparison between the two groups(p<0.05),suggesting that the Shuganfupihuashi Decoction better than the Pinaverium Bromide Tablets.SAS scores: The score of the treatment group was 46.00± 11.92 in pre-therapy,37.58±12.30 in post-treatment,and the control group was 46.23 ±12.24 in pre-therapy,44.65 ± 12.95 in post-treatment.There is statistical differences of SAS scores before and after treatment in teatment group(p<0.05),but no statistical differences in control group(p>0.05).Suggesting that Pinaverium Bromide Tablets had no significant effect on decreasing SAS scores,while Shuganfupihuashi Decoction had significant effect on decreasing SAS scores.SDS scores: The score of the treatment group was 46.94± 10.97 in pre-therapy,39.45±10.61 in post-treatment,and the control group was 47.71 ±11.21 in pre-therapy,39.45 ± 10.61 in post-treatment.There is statistical differences of SDS scores before and after treatment in teatment group(p<0.05),but no statistical differences in control group(p>0.05).Suggesting that Pinaverium Bromide Tablets had no significant effect on decreasing SDS scores,while Shuganfupihuashi Decoction had significant effect on decreasing SDS scores.Conclusion:It can effectively relieve the clinical symptoms,improve the quality of life and mental state of patients with Shuganfupihuashi Decoction in treating spleen deficiency and dampness syndrome of IBS-D.
