Objective: To evaluate the intervention of Tai Chi in controlling type 2 diabetes mellitus blood glucose. Methods: Both English and Chinese were databases were searched systematically from its foundation to September 2015.English databases include PUBMED,WEB OF SCIENCE,while Chinese databases include WANFANG DATA and China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI).Randomized Controlled Trials in accordance with the inclusion criteria were selected. Results: In 14 studies, including 785 participants.Meta analysis results show that: 1?the taijiquan FBG levels in patients with type 2 diabetes intervention effect with conventional drugs/blank group(n = 361,SMD = 0.48,95% CI(0.69 ~ 0.27),P = 0.000)compared with significant effect and no heterogeneity heterogeneity(I 2 = 0.0%,P = 0.705).And aerobic exercise group(n = 347,SMD = 0.000,95% CI(0.21 ~ 0.21),P = 0.986)compared with no significant difference and heterogeneity is very low(the heterogeneity of I 2 = 3.3%,P = 0.396.2? HbA1 c level comparison, whether with aerobic exercise(P = 0.008)or conventional treatment(P = 0.000),compared to tai chi in the aspect of reducing diabetes HbA1 c concentrations in the blood were showed significant difference. But still very high heterogeneity between data, respectively is aerobic exercise, the heterogeneity of I 2 = 75.2%,P = 0.007)and conventional treatment(the heterogeneity of I2 = 88.9%,P = 0.000).Bias risk assessment results show that the methodological quality of grade A,grade B and C respectively 0,4 and 10 papers. Conclusion: The present evidence indicates that Tai Chi is equivalent to other aerobic exercise in controlling type 2 diabetes mellitus' blood glucose.
