Meta-analysis Of Randomized Controlled Trials Of Integrative Medicine Therapy For Treatment Of Hepatitis B Virus Related Liver Failure

ObjectiveTo evaluation the effect of Chinese Integrative Medicine on treating liver failure of hepatitis B virus.MethodsWe search the related literatures from PubMed,the Cochrane liver disease group trial registration database,the Cochrane library,CINK,VIP database,Wanfang database,Chinese clinical trial registry,included randomized controlled trial of literature,the time range is between January 2000 and December 2016.Index words in English "hepatic failure or liver failure or severe hepatitis B or serious hepatitis B,and Traditional Chinese Medicine,and Randomized Controlled trials".Index words in Chinese:"hepatitis B,liver failure or severe hepatitis or severe hepatitis or heavy hepatitis B or severe hepatitis B,Integrative Medicine,Chinese Medicine,and Randomized Controlled trials".Conference papers and dissertation as the supplementary.Filtered according to the include and exclude standard of the literature.The Jadad score as quality evaluation of the modified version.We get the extracted data to document the first author and year of publications,numbers of the treatment group and the control group,the mean and standard deviation of the TBil and PTA.We use Review Manager5.3 for data processing,heterogeneiting inspection with I2,OR for binary classification information effect,SMD as the effects of the continuous data quantity.ResultsA total of 65 RCT papers were included,there are 66 studies.Which were proved to have a mild heterogeneity(x2=67.88,I2=4%,P=0.38),by using the fixed effects model,the result shows:OR=2.42,95%CI(2.16,2.72),that in the control group of consolidation effect,Z=14.48,P<0.00001,the difference was statistically significant,we can thought that integrative medicine therapy for the overall effectiveness is better than pure western medicine treatment.Conclusion1.Integrative medicine therapy can improve the survival of patients with HBV-related liver failure.Combined with The traditional Chinese medicine decoction enema may be the best.2.Integrative medicine therapy can effectively reduce bilirubin level,improve the function of blood coagulation.3.Less side effects of Integrative medicine therapy,that may be deemed safe.
