The Clinical Research On The Treatment Of Acute Wind-type Bell’s Paralysis By Alternating Acupuncture Contralateral And Ipsilateral Side

Purpose: Clinical researched is done by treatment of the two groups:treatment group(the patients were treated with alternating acupuncture and contralateral side)and control group(utilizing by conventional acupuncture),aim to compare the scores of facial paralysis,the grade of House-Brachmann(H-B),clinical effects of the two groups patients for Wind-heat type of Bell’s Palsy acute phase,observe and evaluate treatment effect between these two therapy,thus provide a reference for optimization of clinical treatment.Methods: Selected 70 cases of wind-heat type BP patients with in acute phase were accordance with the inclusion criteria,adopt the randomize control method,divided into the Treatment group(the patients were treated with alternating acupuncture and contralateral side in acute phase)and the control group(treated by conventional acupuncture).the treatment effectiveness in both groups were evaluated five times: prophase(treated day),at 7 times,15 times,25 times after treatment,judged by the change of the House-Brachmann(H-B)facial nerve function classification and the improvement of the facial injury scores based on clinical observation.Results: 1.Before treatment,compared the two groups of patients in age,sex,number of days of onset,facial injury score,H-B classification and disease stage,which were no significant difference(P> 0.05)and comparable.2.Patients were treated for the seventh time The scores of facial and the grades of H-B、efficacy(1)At 7 times after treatment,each group compared with itself,the scores of facial was significant difference(P <0.01)compared with no treated to indicate that two kinds of treatment have effective. (2)At 7 times after treatment,two groups of patients with the grades of H-B,the scores of facial and the curative effect,there was no statistically significance(P> 0.05)to show the index of improving HB classification,Facial symptom score and curative effect between the treatment group and the control group which had no significant difference.3.Patients were treated for the 15 th time The scores of facial and the grades of H-B、efficacy:At 7 times after treatment,two groups of patients with the grades of H-B,the scores of facial and the curative effect,there was no statistically significance(P> 0.05)to show the index of improving HB classification,Facial symptom score and curative effect between the treatment group and the control group which had no significant difference.4.Patients were treated for the 25 th time(1)At 25 times after treatment,facial symptom scores and the the grades of H-B and the curative effect,there was a statistically significance(P <0.05)to indicate that the improvement of facial injury severity score,the grades of H-B of the treatment group better than the control group.(2)Comparing curative effect at 25 times being treatment:The treatment group: 23(65.7%)cases were cured,obvious effect in 11 cases,effect in 1 case;control group:15 cases(42.9%)were cured,obvious effect in 17 cases,effect in 3 cases.P< 0.05,there is significant differences,indicating that the curative effect of the treatment group is better than the control group.Data analysis:The 7th treatment,each group compared with itself,the scores of facial was significant difference compared with no treated to indicate that two kinds of treatment have effective.There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups after treatment at the 7th and 15 th.It indicate that the treatment used in this paper were not reflected in the two treatment stages.The 25 th treatment,the 35 th treatment,the two groups between the facial score,HB classification,efficacy compared with,were statistically significant,which can be discovered: the acute treatment which used for the treatment group fully reflected at the 25 times,not only showed differences in facial scores were statistically significant,the two groups of HB classification and efficacy is also statistically significant,indicating that the treatment group is better than the control group,the treatment has a positive meaning.Conclusion:The study shows that the treatment group’s(the patients were treated with alternating acupuncture and contralateral side)method than the control group(conventional acupuncture),is the best therapeutic method for Wind-heat type of Bell’s.Although we adopt this method in acute phase,the the effect displayed at the recovery phase,and it is useful for the whole Bell’s Palsy.Has a positive effect on he entire Bell’s paroxysmal wind syndrome treatment.
