| Objective: The primary objective in the study is determination of efficacy of probiotics preparation as a supportive therapy in eradication of Helicobacter pylori associated the elderly population, and observe the adverse reactions in the course of treatment. Methods: This experiment is a prospective study, using a randomized controlled experiment design.A total of 128 patients with Hp infection were recruited from The Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from October 2015 to February 2017 for treatment of elderly patients with Hp infection.Subjects were divided into probiotics group(64cases)and control group(64cases).The experimental group given:Pantoprazole 40mg+Amoxicillin 1000mg+Clarithromyci 500mg+Colloidal Bismuth Pectin 220 mg,Live Combined Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus 2 pills, twice a day,for 10 days.the control group: no probiotics, the rest of the treatment with the experimental group.probiotics was used 3 hours later than antibiotics in order to avoid antibiotics cause the inhibition of probiotic.Adverse effects were observed during the treatment.Four weeks after the treatment,13C-UBT or 14C-UBT was re-performed to assess Hp eradication rate. Results: The rate of eradication was 82.8%(53/64)in the control group and 84.4%(54/64)in the experimental group,P>0.05.There was no significant difference in the eradication rate between the two groups. The eradication rate of the control group was 86.9%(53/61),the experimental group was 87.1%(54/62),P>0.05,the eradication rate of the two groups was no significant difference. The occurrence of adverse reactions: experimental group is lower than the control group,(23.4%and39.1%)the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Probiotics combined with quadruple combination therapy for elderly patients with Hp can not improve the eradication rate of Hp,but can reduce the incidence of abdominal distension, abdominal pain and diarrhea during treatment. |
