Objectives: To construct a three-dimensional finite element model of Advance-d mandible by using Advansync appliance. To explore efficacy of Guided forward movement,The labial inclination of lower anterior teeth, and occlusal plane chan-ge under different mandible condition of intercuspal, mandibular postural and the maximum opening position. Methods: The patient with malocclusion of Angle Cla-ss II~1 after the alignement and leveling stage was selected. To use CBCT(Cone b-eam CT)scan the skull to get the DICOM format image data.To use Mimics17 software read DICOM format data, upper and lower jaws and teeth column model established, derived from stl format and imported into Geomagic Studio 2014 for model optimization, used 3D modeling software Unigraphics NX8.5 software fo-r computer image processing, then input into ANSYS Workbench15.0 software to establish a finite element of Advansync appliance in the condition of three differ-ent jaw positions. Results: Obtained the finite element model of Advansync appli-ance included MBT straight-wire appliance in the condition of three different jaw positions.Under the action of the Advansync appliance, from the closes mouth to the big mouth movement, the mandible and lower incisors have movedforward and downward trend;the occlusal plane mainly trend to the upward and backward movement. Conclusion: The result suggested that the application of Advansync c-aused forward and downward mandibular modification.
