A Study On Therapeutic Efficacy Of Compound Melanterite Functional Shampooon On Cutaneous Malassezia Infection In Guinea Pigs

Objectives: to simulate seborrhoeic dermatitis model by using the bacteria applying method and making skins of guinea pig infected with malassezia furfur;to observe and compare the curative effect of the Zaofan treatment group,the Triatop treatment group and the model group;provide scientific experimental basis for studies on Compound Zaofan Shampoo,and to firstly attempt to broaden the scope of clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine lotion.Methods: The improved consecutive 7d bacteria applying method was used to inject the skin of guinea pig and simulate the animal models of seborrheic dermatitis.Then,the successfully constructed animal models were randomly divided into model group,Triatop treatment group and Zaofan treatment group.The scores,number of colonies(CFU/ml)and mycology negative conversion rate,as well as pathological changes of supporting tissues,were determined by visual observation to evaluate the therapeutic effect of Compound Zaofan Shampoo on the guinea pig-infected model caused by malassezia furfur.Results: After making a skin damage comparison among Zaofan treatment group,model group and Triatop treatment group,it was found that Zaofan treatment group and Triatop treatment group had significantly declined skin damage scores,and there was significant difference in decline rate of skin damage scores after the Zaofan treatment group,Triatop treatment group and model group were compared in a pairwise manner(P < 0.001);it was found that Zaofan treatment group > Triatop treatment group > model group in descending order of scores.By making a comparison in dermatophyte negative conversion rate among guinea pigs in Zaofan treatment group,model group and Triatop treatment group which were treated,it was found that Zaofan treatment group had the same negative conversion rate with Triatop treatment group.There was difference of statistical meaning in negative conversion rate between those both groups and model group(X~2=1.863,P=0.172).By making a comparison in skin suspension cultured CFU(CFU/ml)between Zaofan treatment group and Triatop treatment group,it was found that there was significant difference between those two groups and model group(X~2=1.776,P=0.013);among them,there was no significant difference between Zaofan treatment group and Triatop treatment group in skin suspension cultured CFU.The skin pathological section results showed that compared with the model group,the Zaofan group had less number of glandula sebacea under the microscope,and the hair follicle showed a trend of proliferation.There was no fungi and spore under the microscope.Conclusions: Compound Zaofan Shampoo has a good therapeutic effect on infection of guinea pig caused by malassezia furfur.
