Objectives:To analyze the analgesic effects of continuous lumbar plexus block with different current intensity after total hip arthroplasty. Methods:One hundred twenty patients,ASA Ⅰ~Ⅲ,elective surgery for artificial hip arthroplasty undergoing general anesthesia, were ramdomly divided into four groups,Group A sufentanil intravenous analgesia pump to relieve pain,Group N treat the patients with continuous lumbar plexus block,Group N1 0.1~0.5 mA,Group N20.6~1.0 mA and Group N3 1.1~2.0mA nerve stimulator.Four groups of patients all underwent inhalation and intravenous general anesthesia before being placed with endotracheal tube.Postoperatively,Group A had self-controlled intravenous administration of sufentanil to relieve pain.Group N used administrated 0.2%ropivacaine though indwelling catheter by themselves.Four groups of patients were treated for relieving pain for 48 hours. The data of the Resting Visual Analogue Scale(RVAS)and Initiative Visual Analogue Scale(IVAS)were recorded after operation, the number of times the patient self-controlledly used the anaesthetics to relieve pain, patients’ satisfaction, nausea, and other adverse reactions were all being recorded. Results:The RVAS and IVAS scores of the group N3 were significantly higher than those of the control group N1,N2(P<0.05).The scores of RVAS and IVAS in group A were significantly higher than those in group N1 and N2(p<0.05).the number of times, the patient self-controlledly used the anaesthetics to relieve pain,of group N1 and N2 were no statistical difference, while the number of group N3(3.90 ± 0.96)was significantly higher than that of group N1(1.93 ±0.98)and group N2(.,06±0.98)(p<0.01).There was no significant difference in the degree of satisfaction among the four groups. There were no significant differences in nausea, vomiting, pruritus, sedation and other adverse reactions among group N1-N3,while the incidence of adverse reactions of group A was signify-cantly higher than that of group N1-N3.Conclusions:After receiving artificial hip arthroplasty, patients could achieve satisfactory results, treating with the operation of continuous lumbar plexus block with current intensity of 0.6~1.0mA.The effect of reliving pain using the method above is better than intravenous injection of anaesthetics controlled by the patients themselves, and the former could reduce postoperative adverse reactions.
