| Objective:To study the clinical characteristics and prognosis of the epilepsy with autoimmune encephalitis.Methods:Fourty-three autoimmune encephalitis patients with epilepsy adimitted to Neurological department of our hosipital from December 2014 to August 2016 were included in our study. The clinical datas of the characteristics of seizures and the prognosis were studied by means of a retrospective analysis. Results:The patients were consisted with twenty-one males and twenty-two females. The initial age of seizure onset was most in young and middle-age patients.88.37 % of the patients manifested an acute onsets;4.65 % of the patients manifested a subacute onsets and the others manifested a chronic onsets.51.26 % of the patients manifested seizure as initial symptoms. As to seizure types,41.86 % of patients manifested at least two kind of epileptic types;secondary generalized seizure accounted for 76.7 %;complex partial seizure accounted for 39.53 %;simple partial seizure accounted for 16.28 %;generalized tonic clonic seizure accounted for 9.30 %.34.88 % of the patients manifested status epilepticus which is included in 33.33 % of non-convulsive status. The manifestations of seizure were varied.80.56 % of the patients acquired strikingly seizure reduction after anti-epileptic treatments, but there were 19.44 % of the patients still suffered with serious seizure attacking. The cerebrospinal fluid of antibody titers, cell accounts and protein levels between seizure reduction groups and seizure invalid groups manifested no discriminations in terms of statistic analysis(P=0.352,0.289,0.014>0.01).40 % of the patients stoped to take anti-epileptic drugs within three months after the hospital days and 88.89% of them received seizure free by far. Conclusions:The seizure with autoimmune encephalitis often occurs in the first two weeks of the disease and 51.26 % of the patients manifest seizure onset.Secondary generalize seizure is the most common epileptic type of autoimmune encephalitis and 41.86 % of patients manifest at least two kind of epileptic types.80.56 % of the patients are effectively controlled after anti-epileptic treatments. The antibody titer, cell accounts and protein levels in CSF could not be used in an indicator to evaluate the seizure outcomes of autoimmune encephalitis. |
