| Objective: To systemically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of transcatheter aortic valve implantation(TAVI)for old patients with severe aortic stenosis(AS).Methods:Relevant literatures were searched through PubMed,EMbase,Cochrane Library,Wanfang database and China national knowledge database from their establishment to Searching time ended untill April 2016.The articles were screened by the standard rule of intake and exclusion, the data was analyzed by RevMan 5.3 software. Results: A total of 6 studys with 1603 patients were enrolled. This meta-analysis suggested that TVAI combined with standard therapy could reduce the mortality rate of six(RR=0.51,95%CI 0.39-0.66,P<0.01)and twelve months(RR=0.58,95% CI 0.48-0.71,P<0.01),while with no statistical difference in one month mortality(RR=1.09,95%CI 0.73-1.64,P=0.67).And the higher incidence of cerebrovascular events(RR=4.24,95%CI 1.64-10.99,P<0.01)and bleeding(RR =3.75,95%CI 1.77-7.92,P<0.01)was caused. Conclusion: With the present evidence,TVAI combined with standard therapy could reduce the mortality rate of six and twelve months for patients of severe aortic stenosis, despite it increased the incidence of cerebrovascular events and bleeding. |
