Analysis Of The Quality Of Life And Social Support Among Minors Living With HIV/AIDs In Jiangxi Province

PurposeThis study estimated the quality of life and the social support among the HIV/AIDS nonage person in Jiangxi province,and analyze the quality of life(QOL)and the influence factors of social support of them.This study also analyze the QOL and the relationship of social support of the HIV/AIDS nonage person in Jiangxi province,in order to provide empirical evidence for making relevant policies,carrying out health education and intervention programs purposefully.Method:This study was a cross-sectional survey which considered the HIV/AIDS nonage person in Jiangxi province as the research object,and used the field investigation method of the epidemiology to collect information.This study used self-made questionnaires to collect the information about the probably effects of the QOL and the social support of demography.Patients’ QOL and the level of social support were measured with the Chinese version of WHOQOL-HIV BREF scale and Social Support Appraisals Scale.This study used Epidate3.0 and SPSS20.0 to input data and analyze the data.Statistic used the single factor t test,variance analysis,and multipled linear regression etc.to analyze the results of the investigation.Result:Quality of life score were(76.45±11.27)of the 77 HIV/AIDS nonage patients.The scores of the six areas were from high to low in the order: independence field(13.76±2.47),physical field(13.56±2.44),psychological field(12.94±2.05),environment field(12.20±2.00),spiritual/religious/personal beliefs field(12.03±3.71)and social relations field(11.96±1.90).Total score for social support are(27.71±5.95),subjective support(14.12±3.99),objective support(6.82±1.82),using the degree of the support(6.78±2.15).Per capita income of household was a factor of the quality of life scores and scores of using the degree of support(P<0.05).Subjective support scores,scores of using the degree of support,the total scores of social support correlate positively with quality of life scores of each dimension.Conclusion:Quality of life scores and scores of social support of the HIV/ AIDS nonage person in Jiangxi province are low.Providing them with great social support to improve the quality of life has a positive meaning.
