Objective:Through the analysis of patients with acute herpes zoster clinical basic information, measure the levels of serum neuron specific enolization enzyme, investigate the relationship between NSE and pain degree, deepening the understanding of the disease, and providing a theoretical basis for early evaluation of clinical use of NSE HZ neural injury. Methods:A total of 80 patients with acute HZ in our hospital from January 2015 to December 2016 were selected as the experimental group, and 80 healthy subjects with similar age and sex were selected as the control group. The level of serum NSE was determined by Roche’s electrochemiluminescence immunoassay, and the pain level of the experimental group was measured by visual analogue scale. The correlation between the VAS score and the serum NSE level was analyzed.Results:1.Comparison of general data between the two groups:In the experimental group, there were 46 cases of males and 34 cases of males. In the healthy controls group, there were 40 males and females respectively. In the experimental group, average age was(62.34±12.37)years,there were 7 cases in the youth group,16 cases in the middle age group, and 57 cases in the old group. In the control group, average age was(63.18±14.60),there were 9 cases in the youth group,23 cases in the middle age group, and 48 cases in the old group. In the experimental group, affected the trigeminal nerve points for 18 cases, neck and shoulder nerve for 9 cases, intercostals nerve for 20 cases, lumbosacral nerve for 33 cases. There was no linear trend between the different age groups and the degree of pain in the experimental group.2.Compared with the control group, the serum NSE level of the experimental group was 13.54±3.57μg/L,which was significantly higher than the control group of 9.88±1.58μg/L,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Serum NSE levels were compared in different age groups in the experimental group: the level of serum NSE in young group was 13.29±3.56μg/L,middle age group was 12.18±3.75μg/L,the elderly group was 13.9±23.52μg/L,the difference between each group had no statistical significance(P>0.05).4.Comparison of serum NSE levels in different gender groups in the experimental group: the serum NSE level of the male group was 13.35±3.43μg/L,which was higher than the female group of 13.60±3.69μg/L.There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).5.Comparison of serum NSE levels in different parts of the experimental group:trigeminal nerve group serum NSE level was 14.29±3.38μg/L,neck nerve group was 13.37±3.60μg/L,intercostal nerve group was 13.19±4.08μg/L,lumbosacral nerve group was 13.38±3.45μg/L,there was no significant difference between the groups(P>0.05).6.Comparison of serum NSE levels in different pain groups in the experimental group:mild pain group serum NSE level of serum NSE was 10.77±2.42μg/L,moderate pain group was 13.95±3.31μg/L and severe pain group was 15.21±3.73μg/L,there was significant difference between the groups(P<0.05);7.Correlation analysis: the acute phase of HZ patients serum NSE levels was positively related to VAS pain score(r=0.440,P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Herpes zoster is more common in the elderly and the location of the disease was more common in the lumbosacral area.2.There was no significant difference in serum NSE level in patients with acute herpes zoster at different age, gender and location. There was no linear trend between the different age groups and the degree of pain in the experimental group.3.The level of serum NSE in patients with acute herpes zoster was increased, suggesting that patients with acute herpes zoster have nerve injury,NSE may be closely related to the occurrence of acute HZ nerve injury.4.There is a positive correlation between the serum NSE level and the degree of pain in patients with acute herpes zoster. It is suggested that serum NSE may be of great value in evaluating the degree of nerve injury of acute herpes zoster. |
