| Objective: To investigate the correlation between the degree of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia (CIN) caused by Paclitaxel plus capecitabine adjuvant chemotherapy for gastric carcinomaMethods: The clinical data about 63 patients who were from abdominal tumor surgery of Yunnan province tumor hospital during Jan 01 , 2007 to December 31,2013, was retrospectively analyzed. These patients not only have the pathological diagnosis of gastric cancer and accept radical operation for carcinoma of stomach, but also accept paclitaxel and capecitabine adjuvant chemotherapy for at least three cycles after postperation, according to the American cancer institute Common toxicity determination standard version 4.0 (Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events, CTCAE 4.0) neutrophils falling levels can be divided into G0, G1, G2 and G3-4 groups, GO is neutrophils inhibiting group, G1 is mild neutrophils inhibiting group, G2 is moderate neutrophils inhibiting group, G3-4 is groups in severe neutrophil suppression.SPSS19.0 statistical software is used to analyze the level of gastric cancer patients after adjuvant chemotherapy neutrophils drop’s relationship with survival. Results: The multivariate analysis showed the median PFS of the patients in GO was 17.08 months, the median OS 28.75 months, the G1 stage in patients with median PFS was 23.75 months and the median OS 33.33 month, G2 level in patients with median PFS was 21.42 months and the median OS 29.17 month, G3-4 patients with median PFS was 14.58 months, the median OS for 24.58 months. G1 group than GO group have longer PFS and OS,there are statistically significant、G3-4 also have statistically significant to G1。Compared with GO group, the hazard ratio of disease progression was decreased by 54.2% in G1,(HR = 0.458, 95% CI: 0.243~0.866), the hazard ratio of death was decreased by 63.5% in G1(HR = 0.365, 95% CI: 0.175 ~0.759)。Compared with G3-4 group, the hazard ratio of disease progression was decreased by 78.0% in G1,(HR = 0.22, 95% CI: 0.037~0.386),the hazard ratio of death was decreased by 72.6% in G1(HR = 0.274, 95% CI: 0.045 ~0.675)。Conclusions: The survival of gastric cancer patients who accept paclitaxel plus capecitabine chemotherapy after postoperative is correlated with the level of chemotherapy-induced neutropenia.Patients with mild bone marrow suppression was better survival period than those not present bone marrow suppression and severe bone marrow suppression... |
